Paris once again (part I)

July 13 & 14

One week after being in Paris last time, I am back once again. On Sunday morning, we woke up early and went for a walk along Champ Elysees. Considering that it's early Sunday morning and it's the day before Bastille day, there was hardly anyone in the streets. The streets were also being blocked off for the Bastille Day Parade.
Champ Elysees with the Arc de Triomphe
La DefenseLes Invalides(where Napoleon is buried) Concord (also where the parachuters dropped
down on Bastille Day but we didn't know till too late)
Tuileries (we tried to figure out who each of the statues represent)

Soon after we left to go to Bastille market to buy food for that day and for Monday (stores are generally closed on Sundays and Bastille Day). If we hadn't gone, we might not have been able to eat except for restaurants. This time, they were closing down, but they were still pretty cheap. However, we got so taken in by the atmosphere and trying to find out where the best deals are that we were late in picking up Mike who arrived that day to visit Yalu.

We went back to Yalu's place, ate, and left for Versailles.
We passed through the Statue of Liberty on the way
