Security Checkpoint

On leaving the Chinese consulate during my trip to NY, the guy at the security checkpoint asked, "You smoke?!?!?" Taking a moment to wonder about the question, I replied no. "Oh right," he said, remembering, "your camera." Apparently, you are not allowed to bring a camera into the consulate.
