Amsterdam

Yalu, Lucy, Anya, and I went to Amsterdam the second weekend in June. We managed to crowd 4 people in a room meant for two. I took the night train from Pau and met up with Yalu and Anya at the train station in Paris. We meant to take the 8:25 train and arrive in Amsterdam sometime after 12. However, what we did not realize was that we needed to reserve our seats since it was a train which crossed borders. We ended up taking the next train and meeting up with Lucy at the hotel rather than the station as planned.
We didn't get to see the tulip fields on our way over because it wasn't the season for it...


Amsterdam itself is quite nice. The old part is very walkable. There were so many bikes that there was a parking lot designated for it next to the train station. It was also very hard to cross the streets due to these bikes. One of the interesting types of bikes which we have seen is those with a wheelbarrow in the front (which unfortunately I don't have a picture). There was a lady who place her child there and there was another who used it for the grocery.One of the many canals in Amsterdam: At the flower market:
In front of a temple in ChinatownAnne Frank's House which we didn't go in because it was closed by the time we got there...The canal ride. It was really nice because we didn't have to walk and get to see the city from a diff perspective
